Obituary of Dora Fox
Dora Ann Fox, 81, of Beardstown, died Tuesday, March 25, 2014 at her home.
She was born October 16, 1932 in Astoria, the daughter of Sherman and Beulah Skiles Palmer. She married James Fox on May 8, 1965 in Beardstown and he survives.
She is also survived by one daughter, Lori (Ezekiel) Ligon of Kokomo, IN; one step-son, Kenneth (Kim) Fox of Beardstown; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews; two sisters, Eva (Hershel) Trone of Rushville and Glenna (Cliff) Perry of Astoria; and two brothers, Larry and Jerry Palmer. She was preceded in death by her parents; and three brothers, Herb, Alan and Richard Palmer.
Dora enjoyed going to the casino, traveling and camping with her family. She and Jim wintered in Texas for 19 years where together they established relationships with people from all over the country.
A Celebration of Life gathering will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, April 2, 2014 at Guthrie-Pierce VFW Post 1239, 610 East Fourth St., in Beardstown.
