Judy M. Hollingsworth, 77, of Rushville and formerly of Beardstown, passed away Friday, November 24, 2017 at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield.
She was born June 10, 1940 in Georgetown, IL, the daughter of Fay and Minerva Chandler Onley. She married Charles David Hollingsworth on October 26, 1957 in Georgetown and he preceded her in death on January 13, 2015.
She is survived by three daughters, Julie (Tim Haggerty) Ingles and Cindy Riley, all of Rushville and Cathy (Mike) Maltby of Beardstown; eleven grandchildren, Christina Garcia, Joseph (Tracey) Dietsch, Abby (Richard) Ayers, Amy (Brian) Webe, J.T. Ingles, Hannah Ingles, Tessa Ingles, Josh Eaton, Chyann (Corey) Riley, Katy (Joey Kessinger) Downs and Charley (Chad Kellerman) Hollingsworth; several great-grandchildren; one brother, Harlan Onley of Wren, GA; one sister, Beverly (Royce) Richards of Georgetown; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one grandson, Ollie Ingles; two great-grandchildren; two brothers, Gene and Allen Onley; and two sisters, Charlotte Quick and Doris Boggess.
Ms. Hollingsworth attended Georgetown High School and received her LPN from Jacksonville School of Nursing. Judy was employed at the Cass County Health Department in Virginia for 13 years, Culbertson Memorial Hospital in Rushville and Astoria Gardens, retiring in 2009. Judy enjoyed playing cards, country music, dancing and was an avid Chicago Cubs fan. Most of all, she cherished the time she spent with her grandchildren.
Cremation has been accorded. There will be no services. Burial will be held at a later date at Messerer Cemetery near Frederick.
